CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. — Roberto Costa was recently named executive director of Wingate Residences at Boylston Place, an independent and assisted living community for seniors owned and operated by Wingate Healthcare.
“What I like best about working at Wingate is the level of commitment, dedication and care that the staff, which I’m lucky enough to call my team, displays,” Costa said. “From day one, I was surrounded by what felt like a family, not co-workers.”
With over 18 years’ experience in healthcare, Costa has held various positions at senior living communities throughout the New England region, including senior food service director and admissions director for Massachusetts-based senior living and rehabilitation organization The Pointe Group and administrator in training for an Epoch assisted living community in Rhode Island. Costa also started his own consulting business for food safety, training and certification.
Dedicated to providing high quality hospitality to seniors, Costa is committed to finding the right approach, support and accommodations for residents and their families.
“I’m surrounded by residents who have had some of the most amazing and interesting lives one could imagine,” Costa said of his years working with seniors. “To sit and listen to residents sharing monumental moments in history that they were part of — the same moments I’ve only read about or watched on screen — is something you don’t get in any other industry.”
Costa holds a Bachelor of Science in healthcare administration and a Rhode Island assisted living administrator license.
