WILBRAHAM, Mass. — Wingate at Wilbraham, owned and operated by Wingate Healthcare, has named Andrew Goodsell administrator of the skilled nursing community. Goodsell has held leadership roles in the healthcare industry for over eight years.
Goodsell formerly served as administrator of Webster Manor Rehabilitation & Health Care Center, where he implemented an electronic medical record system and helped the center increase its Centers for Medicare and Medicaid rating to five stars within his first year in the role. Goodsell oversaw the center’s operations during its win of a 2018 Eli Pick Facility Leadership Award, which is given to the top-performing skilled nursing facilities in the nation.
Goodsell has also served as administrator and assistant finance administrator of Poet’s Seat Health Care Center, as well as administrator in training at Bickford Health Care Center.
Goodsell is a licensed nursing home administrator in Massachusetts and Connecticut and serves as a member of the American College of Health Care Administrators’ Massachusetts and Connecticut chapters. He is a member of the Massachusetts Senior Care Association, the Long-Term Finance Association, the Association for Long-Term Financial Managers, the Young Professionals Association and the Worcester County Chamber of Commerce.
He holds a master’s in business administration and a certificate in healthcare management.
