Person-Centric, Dynamic Care
Wingate Healthcare has been providing care for individuals with memory-related illnesses for over 25 years. This experience, coupled with long-standing partnerships with Boston’s elite network of researchers, clinicians and advocacy groups, has enabled us to develop and continually refine The Neighborhood's philosophy.
Every person in our care possesses unique capabilities and, as a result, a distinct set of needs. So we provide for each person individually and uniquely with a plan to improve their quality of life (as well as their family’s), wherever they may be in the arc of their cognitive impairment.
Transitional Assisted Living
For loved ones living with mild cognitive impairment, the Inn at Silver Lake offers Transitional Assisted Living. This unique program augments our standard Assisted Living programs with specialized care, monitoring and memory enhanced activities to strike a balance of independence, security and quality of life.
The Neighborhood is “person-centric.”
We celebrate each resident’s individuality, understand their history, and explore their passions for learning, for the outdoors or for family and friends. Our supportive caregivers integrate that knowledge into a tailored plan featuring daily mental and physical enrichment activities experienced through laughter and love. The Neighborhood environment is expansive both indoors and out, allowing residents the freedom to move about and enjoy elements of independence.
The Neighborhood is dynamic.
Our care unites body, mind, spirit and emotions to reach each resident where they are in their personal journey, and evolve with them as their needs change. Partnerships between local researchers and clinicians and our staff supports continued evaluation of resident progress and furthers our understanding of each person’s needs and how best to care for them. We embrace family members as well, providing resources for education and coping, as well as limitless access to our expertly trained caregivers.
The Neighborhood is purposefully designed.
The Neighborhood reflects our best practices in the design of communities for those with cognitive loss. Specialized lighting, tactile art, paint schemes, furnishings, flooring and interior layouts are all thoughtfully designed to create familiar soothing spaces that enhance our residents’ daily experience. Each detail is thoughtfully considered to create a nurturing environment that fosters success, promotes familiarity and encourages interaction.
The Neighborhood is luxurious.
The environment our residents live in is instrumental to fostering a high quality of life. From our elegant dining room to our plush gardens and patios, we pay attention to every detail to create living spaces that are as sophisticated and well-appointed as they are functional. In the spirit of inclusion, The Neighborhood residents enjoy all the community’s luxuries, no matter their level of care.
