Wingate Healthcare’s Cardiac Program is designed to promote the best possible outcomes for post-cardiac surgery patients, as well as individuals living with congestive heart failure (CHF) and its related conditions. Our highly trained nurses and therapists provide comprehensive cardiac rehab care, customized to each resident’s needs.

Cardiac Rehabilitation & Congestive Heart Failure Program Features

  • Available at all Skilled Nursing locations
  • Treatment for residents recovering from heart attack, heart surgery or stable angina, or other cardiac conditions, with a focus on cardiac surgery recovery
  • Involvement by area hospital physicians specializing in cardiopulmonary disease
  • Multidisciplinary team of physical, occupational and speech therapists, as well as registered nurses and dieticians
  • Daily physician visits
  • Weekly cardiologist rounds
  • Stat lab results in two hours or less
  • Enteral therapy
  • Wound management
  • Neuropsychiatry and psychiatric services
  • Psychiatrist consultations
  • Post-orthopedic care
  • On-site modified barium swallow
  • Coma, persistent vegetative state and minimally conscious state care
  • Medication management
  • Pain management
  • IV therapy
  • High and low dose Lasix drips, continuous or intermittent
  • Tracheostomy and oxygen management
  • High flow oxygen therapy
  • Ostomy care
  • State-of-the-art Gym at Wingate
