ANDOVER, Mass. — Wingate at Andover, owned and operated by Wingate Healthcare, has named Catherine Yarrow director of nursing. Yarrow has extensive clinical and management experience in long-term care facilities.
Prior to joining Wingate, Yarrow was the director of nurses at Cedar View Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, a 98-bed skilled nursing facility. While there, she oversaw the entire operations of the nursing department, personally developed and executed the adoption of clinical specialty programs and was a leader in quality assurance and performance improvement for the center.
Before her role as director of nurses, Yarrow served as the director of nursing for twelve years at multiple Care One facilities across the state. In this capacity, she supervised and reviewed the nursing staff, interacted daily with doctors, patients and families, and spearheaded new policies and procedures to improve efficiency in patient care by analyzing the utilization of nursing staff.
“It is a gift to care for seniors,” Yarrow said. “We all grow old, we all have parents, and I want to provide residents with the best care possible — the kind of care we would want for ourselves and our families.”
Yarrow was certified as a licensed practical nurse in 1993 and became a registered nurse after completing the Lawrence Memorial/Regis College Nursing Program.
Located at 80 Andover St., Wingate at Andover provides traditional long-term care, short-term rehabilitation, respite care and skilled nursing for seniors.
