Wingate at Norton will host a food drive for Cupboard of Kindness from May 27 to September 2. Cupboard of Kindness has a heightened need for food donations during summer when school is not in session and there are fewer events providing food collection. The following items can be donated: pasta and pasta sauce, cereal, canned fruit or vegetables, 100% juice (in non-refrigerated bottles or boxes), soups, baking items, coffee/hot chocolate/tea, dry potatoes, dry past mixes, rice, diapers, personal care items, paper products, and gift cards to Roche Bros. Supermarket. Fresh produce can be brought to the pantry on the first and third Monday of each month from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Wingate at Norton, the skilled nursing facility located at 184 Mansfield Ave., and Wingate Residences at Norton, the assisted living community located at 190 Mansfield Ave. on the same campus, will provide donation boxes in the main lobbies at each location. Donations can be dropped off between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. For more information, please call (508) 285-7745.
