SUDBURY, Mass. — Wingate at Sudbury, owned and operated by Wingate Healthcare, has appointed Victor Fuentes food service director of the skilled nursing facility. Fuentes has 14 years of cooking and management experience in the health care industry.
Fuentes has always cared deeply about the importance of good, nutritional food.
“With food I can be creative and build a unique menu that changes constantly,” Fuentes said. “I’m passionate about food service because food is such a necessity in life and brings true joy to people. As Virginia Woolf said, ‘One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well.’”
Prior to Wingate, Fuentes served as food service director for Rogerson House, a senior living community in Boston. He previously served as director of culinary services for Hathorne Hill, a Genesis HealthCare skilled nursing facility, where he was named the 2015 Northeast Divisional Regional Winner in the organization’s annual culinary competition. He has also worked as a cook for Mount Auburn Hospital and Boston Children’s Hospital.
Fuentes holds an associate’s degree in culinary arts and a professional cooking certificate from Newbury College.
